Description:

Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil has a tangy, refreshing citrus fragrance. Despite it’s notable scent, the Leptospermum petersonii plant has no relation with citrus plants. It is not from the same plant (or plant family) as tea tree oil either, but both are native to similar growing regions in Australia. In fact, the plant can be traced to the Myrtaceae family (Myrtle, Clove, Eucalpytus) and is a ‘close cousin’ of the Melaleuca alternifolia.

The chemistry is quite different to traditional tea tree, with Lemon tea tree containing natural citral and citronellal. Citral has the strong lemon odour and citronellal is an aldehyde, with a different, but characteristic lemon scent.

A certificate of analysis is supplied with each batch, with production date, best before date and physical and chemical properties.
