The Ylang Ylang flower grows on the Cananga tree which is a species native to Southeast Asian countries like India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, parts of Australia and also some African Islands. Ylang Ylang is well known for its fruity, flowery and rich aromatic scent. As such, it is often used in perfumery and aromatherapy.
In today’s market, 97% of global Ylang production is concentrated in the Indian Ocean Region, mainly in Comoros and Madagascar. This is estimated at around 120 tonnes.
This product is supplied in 5kg, 25kg and 50kg plastic fluorinated HDPE containers.
This ingredient is produced for Khush Ingredients in Madagascar. Main harvest periods are highlighted in green:
36 months when stored within advised conditions, re-test every 12 months thereafter for a possible further 24 months.
